1. Your provider will answer the phone when you first call the office. If she does not answer, she is most likely with a patient. Your call will be promptly returned
2. After a brief discussion about your concerns, you will be asked to send a state issued identification card and insurance card (if you are paying with insurance). Private pay is also available.
3. After verification of benefits, your intake information will be sent to your email via Simple Practice, a secure patient portal. This information is important for your provider to know how to best help you. No need to print anything. It is all paperless.
4. At your initial visit, your provider will complete a psychiatric evaluation, which includes but not limited to a thorough review of mental health and medical issues from birth to present. At the end of the visit, depending on level of comfort, prescribed medications or over-the-counter supplements may be recommended along with therapy.
5. Follow-up visits are scheduled depending on level of severity of issues.
6. Visits are done in-person or via telehealth. In-person visits are best for those who have difficulty with concentration and sitting still, or do not feel comfortable using electronic devices. Telehealth visits can be done from anywhere you feel comfortable including your home, car, or your break-time at work. A link will be sent to your email 24-48 hours before the appointment. Your visits are HIPPA compliant and secure. Nothing is recorded.
